Save time and organization effort and just download the app. After entering the registration number, the data of your star will be displayed. Follow the arrow on the screen and when you find the star, just look up at the sky.
If you don't have a smartphone, you can use the Star Finder desktop version online.

How does the software work?
Enter your registration number and your star will be displayed. With the cursor, you can change the viewing angle by moving the image and scrolling the distance.
For orientation on earth, compass points are displayed. An azimuthal and an equatorial grid can help with localization, while the lower menu lets you select grids and display constellations.

How do I find my named star online?
After you enter the registration number, your star is displayed automatically and marked by a crosshair. An information window shows details about your named star. Choose the date and time at the bottom of the display to see the sky as it appears from your location.

How do I then find my named star in the night sky?
Adjust the software timeline so the star is directly above a compass point such as north, east, south, or west. Note the time and nearby constellations. At that time, look toward the same compass direction and use those constellations to orient yourself. It's that easy to enjoy the sight of your named star.
